"You Quiz on the Block" actor Shin Sae-kyeong spoke about the mindset of disciplining herself as an actor.

Shin Sae-kyeong said, "When I look at the raw footage, I cut and paste each part one by one, so it takes an enormous amount of time. And I keep censoring to see if there are any problems one by one, or if acquaintances made slips of the tongue," speaking about her necessarily meticulous personality. Shin Sae-kyeong, who debuted around age 9 in Seo Taiji's music video, was already a 28-year veteran actress. At the time, she was led by her mother's hand to the audition without even knowing the concept of an audition. She recalled, "I couldn't go to a friend's birthday party and had to take the audition. I think I went because of a hint from my mother's friend. I don't really know either. When I went in, they told me to cry, so I was embarrassed. I tried all kinds of thoughts to cry," recalling that time. Later, Shin Sae-kyeong said, "To understand Choi Seo-hee in 'Land,' I read the original novel. To understand the character, I had to do that," describing her activities as a child actor.
She reflected on her life, saying, "I worked when I was too young, so the stormy times passed, and the times filled with rapture also passed, so I thought age 28 was an appropriate temperature," and added, "Back then I just thought it was cool. I thought it was complicated, obscure and seemed profound, but now I prefer simplicity," saying she focuses on calmly reflecting on herself.
Shin Sae-kyeong said, "I thought fame was like a sword. If wielded badly, it could really go wrong. My family was also called 'Shin Sae-kyeong's parents,' so we were cautious together. It's an energy-consuming thing. There is no shortcut in that regard," showing an uncommon side.
