KOYOTE's Shin Ji opened up candidly about the jealousy and rumors that followed her during her school days.
On the 11th, a video titled "I went back to my elementary school for the first time in 30 years" was posted on Shin Ji's YouTube channel "Eotteoshinji." After touring her alma mater, Shin Ji stopped by a nearby cafe, ate a parfait, and pulled out one memory at a time from her childhood and school days.
Shin Ji said, "After debuting, it felt like there wasn't a single man in Incheon I hadn't dated," and added, "I had never actually met them, but all sorts of rumors were out there." She then noted, "Even though I went to an all-girls middle school and high school, there was a lot of jealousy."
In particular, recalling the time when she was close with god, Shin Ji said, "Fans even wrote things like 'Don't seduce god' and 'Don't flirt' in their sketchbooks and hung them up."
Shin Ji also said, "There was a water dispenser in the high school hallway, and someone once filled a cup and threw it at me," adding, "I threw it back." She continued with a smile, "The teachers were very fond of me," and, "When I first debuted, all the teachers from school came to the event venue. The vice principal especially liked me. If I was even a little late, they would say, 'Sing a song before you go.'"
Meanwhile, Shin Ji recently shared that she will marry singer Moon Won on May 2.
