Group IVE members Ga-eul and Ray will serve as special MCs for M Countdown.
According to their agency Starship Entertainment, Ga-eul and Ray will appear as special MCs on the cable channel Mnet's M Countdown (hereafter "M C"), which will air today (the 12th) from 6 p.m.
Ga-eul made her first MC appearance in February last year as a music show special MC, proving her steady hosting ability. Despite it being her first time hosting, she led the broadcast with clear diction and witty reactions, and her interviews with artists who came to the MC seat were delivered vividly, further lifting the atmosphere on site.
Ray has also hosted talks with lively wit and quick thinking on her solo YouTube content "Try to imitate Ray," and has shown her frank and bubbly charm through various programs. In particular, she received praise for communicating with global fans when she took on her first awards-show MC role at the Asia Star Entertainer Awards 2025 in May last year, so expectations are high for the chemistry she will show with Ga-eul on this M Countdown.
Both have shown presence through their individual capabilities. Ga-eul has steadily honed her skills through group activities, participated in choreography work for the mini-album 3 track "TKO (TKO)" and the mini-album 4 track "Ppibib (♥beats)," raising their completeness, and at IVE's second world tour last year, SHOW WHAT I AM, she overwhelmed the stage with a solo performance, demonstrating her stage command.
Meanwhile, Ray has expanded her influence by leading various trends such as "Pokjugi니", "Ray Piece", "Ribbon Piece", and "Ray Core" with a trendy sensibility. She has stood out not only on "Try to imitate Ray" but also in short-form content, establishing herself as a trendsetter, and solidified her position by winning the Best Trend Leader award at the TikTok Awards 2025 last year. Recently, she participated in MONSTA X member Jooheon's solo album track "Push (Feat. Ray of IVE)," proving her outstanding vocal ability.
That day, Ga-eul and Ray will also perform the pre-release track from IVE's second full-length album, "BANG BANG (Bang Bang)," which was released on the 9th. As the song's charm was heightened by the two's intense rapping immediately upon the track's release, expectations are growing for their moves between MCing and performing.
IVE, which includes Ga-eul and Ray, will unveil the stage for "Bang Bang" for the first time on M Countdown today (the 12th).
