Comedian Heo Kyunghwan offered a pointed piece of advice about height differences between lovers.
On the 10th, a video titled "Karina's friend Han Su-a's first variety show, a deluge of old-school meddling" was uploaded to the Alddalddalhan Chamgyeon channel.
That day on Alddalcham, Han Su-a appeared as a guest and talked with Ahn Jae-hyeon, Heo Kyunghwan and Muzi. Then when the topic of ideal types came up, Han Su-a answered, "I like someone funny and a bit easygoing. I'm not a sensitive type, and if the other person is a bit sensitive it gets tiring, so I actually prefer someone easygoing."
Muzi said, "But do they have to be funny? It's not easy to be easygoing and funny," and Heo Kyunghwan interpreted, "Not like 'Isn't it fun?' when they're laughing together, but someone who suddenly makes you laugh and it just 'whoosh' changes. It changes in a flash."
Han Su-a explained, "Isn't there the term 'laughing spoon' these days? People who do nothing and act easygoing but are really funny," and Muzi said, "A relatively close person would be senior Lee Bong-won," which drew laughter.
When she said physical appearance "isn't that important to me," Ahn Jae-hyeon shook his head and said, "You have high standards." Han Su-a said, "That's right. I've been told my standards are kind of high. Maybe because I don't look at appearance much," and Heo Kyunghwan quickly guessed, "You're looking at height."
Then Han Su-a agreed, "I do look at height," and answered "Yes" to Ahn Jae-hyeon's question, "180?" Hearing this, Heo Kyunghwan suddenly began pouring wine with a bitter look and said, "No, it's just that I happen to drink with them. You have to look at the height," which provoked laughter.
Muzi pointed out, "You poured a drink that isn't the main liquor right now," and Heo Kyunghwan offered advice from experience, recreating the moment: "No, you have to look at height. They should be taller than you. I dated someone taller than me and when we fought I felt really pitiful. Especially when we fought on the street, from far away she would look up and say, 'Hey, you!' and look down and say, 'You did something wrong, oppa!' and it was really unpleasant." Han Su-a empathized, "You kind of feel shabby..."
Ahn Jae-hyeon asked, "What if someone doesn't want to emphasize that they're tall? Like at the first meeting, do they arrive early and sit down?" Heo Kyunghwan shared his own blind date tactic: "Like I said, I'm really sorry but I'm always about five minutes late. I show my height and start from there. If on a blind date you lean on the chair like this, the height I appear when seated doesn't look small. If we're talking and the woman is really fun and says, 'Shall we go for a second round?' and stands up, I don't stand up. The score resets. It's like, 'My height is this much, so let's start at minus 50 as is.'"
Ahn Jae-hyeon said, "Right. That seems better. It's better to start by lowering expectations," then hastily tried to correct himself, "No, not lowering expectations but..." and Heo Kyunghwan scolded him, "If alcohol affects you, restrain yourself! Drink a lot of water!" which added to the laughter.
