Actor the late Jeong Eun-woo suddenly passed away, and tributes from the entertainment industry have continued to pour in.
According to the broadcasting community, Jeong Eun-woo died on the 11th. The exact cause of death has not been disclosed. Because he had left posts on social media as recently as the day before, colleagues and fans have been unable to hide their shock at the sudden news.
The deceased, a day before his death, on his account posted photos of actor the late Leslie Cheung and singer the late Amy Winehouse and left a brief note saying "missed, enviable, regretful." The post has circulated belatedly, adding to the sorrow.
After the news was reported, tributes from colleagues continued. Pop artist Nancy Lang left a comment on the deceased's social media expressing belated sorrow. She said, "Eun-woo! I just heard the news. I didn't even know these photos from the day before were signals… My heart hurts so much, I'm sad and numb," and mourned, "Rest peacefully in heaven, Eun-woo."
Actor Kim Yun-seo also posted photos with Jeong Eun-woo on her social media on the 12th and left a long message. Kim Yun-seo wrote, "Eun-woo.. goodbye, I'm sorry. I couldn't say goodbye properly and I'm sending you off like this.." and "Today my heart has been breaking all day." She continued, "Thinking about the times you endured, I don't think I can cry recklessly," and offered a final farewell, "Go well, my friend."
Fashion designer Hwang Young-rong shared screenshots of messages he exchanged with the deceased, deepening the sense of emptiness. In messages, Jeong Eun-woo described wounds received from people and complicated feelings, yet comforted himself with lines like, "Enduring is ultimately winning," and "Living well isn't about having a lot of money but about communication." Hwang Young-rong mourned with a remorseful note, "I should have answered the phone… I really didn't know, I'm so so sorry."
Actor and sports trainer Byeon Geon-woo also mourned, "We worked out together, lived together, laughed, cried and made noise together—what was so urgent that you left first?" and "You worked hard." Novelist So Jae-won expressed belated regret, "The reply to the last message you sent came too late," and actor Moon Hee-kyung posted the poster for the daily drama 'Bride of the Sun' in which the deceased appeared, remembering him: "Eun-woo, I had hoped we'd meet again someday and work on a project together.. What will happen if you leave like this. You were such a kind and good actor—perform as you wish there."
Meanwhile, Jeong Eun-woo debuted in the 2006 drama 'Jump 3' and became known for roles in 'Bride of the Sun', 'Five Fingers', 'One Well-Raised Daughter', 'Return of Golden Bok', and 'My Only One'. His most recent work is known to be the film 'Memory: Manipulated Murder'.
The wake was set up in special room 2 at New Goryeo Hospital Funeral Hall in Gimpo, Gyeonggi Province, and the funeral service will be held at noon on the 13th.
