It continued, Since the last notice, the rulings or dispositions handed down include seven fines, one fine with an order to complete a sexual violence treatment program, three conditional suspension of indictment with mandatory education, and one suspended sentence with probation, and After one round of complaint procedures, additional complaints were filed against those who continued to write malicious posts, and for these individuals formal trial (public trial) procedures, not simple summary orders, were conducted.
Next, the agency said, The court sentenced a person who spread a false rumor about the artist (the "spy allegation") to a fine of 5 million won. In the mental damages claim lawsuit filed against a person who raised false plagiarism suspicions about the artist on the overseas site X and reported them for alleged violation of the Copyright Act, the court granted the entire damages claim of 30 million won (full victory), and The court sentenced a person who repeatedly spread baseless allegations of involvement in serious crimes and false rumors related to nationality and identity about the artist on Naver, and who wrote sexually harassing posts, to 10 months in prison, suspended for two years, and ordered the defendant to be subject to probation.
In addition, the agency added, The criminal complaint against a cyber rekka account that defamed the artist and spread false information through YouTube is currently under investigation by investigative authorities. IU's side also said, We are responding sternly not only to malicious online posts but also to illegal acts that invade the privacy of the artist and the artist's family or threaten personal safety. Recently, there have been multiple cases in which individuals who visited the artist's home, a family member's residence, and areas near the company to threaten personal safety or demand money were booked by the police and are under investigation, and We make it clear that we will take strong legal action, including criminal complaints, without leniency against any acts that threaten the artist's safety. Please refrain from any approach or visit to the artist, the artist's family, or related persons.

We monitor malicious posts on our own using fans' valuable reports as well as portals and communities (Naver, Nate Pann, Daum, The Qoo, DC Inside, WeGoSu, Instiz, Ilbe Storage, MLB Park, etc.), SNS (Threads, Instagram, X, etc.), music sites (Melon, Bugs, etc.), and YouTube, and conduct regular monitoring and evidence collection.
Going forward, we will continue to take strong legal action against all illegal acts that threaten the honor, personality rights, and personal safety of our artist. We make it clear that we will hold perpetrators strictly accountable to the end, without any settlements or leniency.
