TWICE member Dahyun has been diagnosed with a fracture and will suspend performances for the time being. JYP Entertainment said it decided that Dahyun will not join the North American tour based on medical opinions.
JYP said on the 11th through TWICE's official account, "After an issue with her ankle was found early in the first leg of the tour, Dahyun continued steady treatment in the United States, and after returning to Korea and undergoing a detailed examination, she was diagnosed with a fracture."
It added, "Given the nature of flying and performing—continuous walking, movement along routes, and carrying out choreography—we considered that the fractured area could be placed under significant strain," and explained, "After thorough discussions among the artist, the company, and medical staff, we decided, prioritizing the artist's health, that she will not take part in the North American shows running from Feb. 13 to March 7."
JYP added, "Dahyun will focus on rest and treatment for the time being, and after closely monitoring her recovery, we will consult with her and medical staff to decide whether she will rejoin future schedules," and said, "Once she has sufficiently recovered, we will do our best so she can greet fans again in a healthier state."
TWICE is currently on a tour of 78 shows across 43 regions worldwide. This year, they will meet fans with 35 shows in 20 regions of North America, three shows each in Taipei and Tokyo, and 11 shows across eight regions in Europe.
