NCT JNJM (NCT JenoJaemin) delivers an energetic message ranging from confidence as artists to encouragement toward dreams through their first mini album.
NCT JNJM's first mini album "BOTH SIDES" (BOTH SIDES) will release all tracks on various music sites at 6 p.m. on Feb. 23, and is composed of a total of six tracks with diverse moods, including the title track "BOTH SIDES."
The included track "I.D.O.L." (Idol) is an uptempo pop song based on Miami bass featuring heavy 808 kicks and bass and a shimmering synth riff in contrast, with Jeno and Jaemin's groovy vocals and rapping completing a cool and freewheeling vibe.
The lyrics convey the confident attitude of idols who captivate attention with ever-changing concepts and stage presence, and their gaze toward fans unfolds into an intimate and romantic fantasy beyond the glamor, delivering another thrill.
Another included track, "HASHTAG" (Hashtag), is an emotional hip-hop song that adds modern sound design to late-2000s southern hip-hop sounds; its contrast between heavy low-register rap and sweet melodies is striking, and it features a confident message proving limitless charm to match the many hashtags directed at me.
"WIND UP" (Wind Up) is an uptempo hip-hop track where heavy drums and horn sounds harmonize over a relaxed mood, and through lyrics likening action to the "wind up" motion in baseball it carries a message to believe in yourself and throw the ball toward your dreams with full force, empowering the steps of all youth moving forward.
Meanwhile, NCT JNJM's first mini album "BOTH SIDES" will also be released as a physical album on Feb. 23, and reservations are currently available at various online and offline record stores.
