Comedian Park Na-rae's police questioning over allegations of power harassment and illegal medical procedures has been postponed.
According to police on the 11th, the schedule to summon Park Na-rae on the afternoon of the 12th as a suspect on charges including special injury and violation of the Medical Service Act was postponed.
In relation to this, Park Na-rae's side reportedly asked for the investigation to be delayed, saying that a crowd was gathering at the police appearance site, raising safety concerns, and that her health was not good.
Park Na-rae was scheduled to appear at 2:30 p.m. on the 12th at the Seoul Gangnam Police Station to be questioned. As this was the first time she would be questioned as a defendant, it drew a lot of public attention.
Park Na-rae is currently embroiled in allegations of power harassment and illegal medical procedures involving former managers. The former managers alleged that while employed they suffered workplace bullying, surrogate prescriptions, nonpayment of production expenses and other damages from "gapjil" and in December last year filed a complaint against Park on charges including defamation and violation of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection. In response, Park's side filed countercharges against them for extortion and embezzlement in the course of business.
