On the 11th episode of tvN 'You Quiz on the Block' (hereinafter 'You Quiz'), the protagonists of the baking World Cup, '2026 Coupe du Monde de la Boulangerie'—Choi Yong-hwan, Kim Myung-gi, Hwang Seok-yong, and Kim Jong-ho—appeared. At the competition known as the World Cup of baking, their work proudly showcased Korean style and pride: a turtle ship engraved with Hunminjeongeum.
Chef Hwang Seok-yong said, "We even brought all the ingredients ourselves. Korea rice flour, black sesame, buckwheat—the shipping alone cost about 10 million won. If you include everything, it would be more than 20 boxes." Training together in a dorm for six months, they faced the difficulty of the official flour changing before departure but ultimately clinched the championship.
Regarding the question about prize money for the championship, Chef Kim Myung-gi said, "There is no prize money at all. Everything is out of pocket. Each person spends 50 million won from their own funds. It's purely for the honor," which surprised Yu Jae-seok.
