Businessman and broadcaster Paik Jong-won, CEO of The Born Korea, has been reported to have lost his mother.
On the 10th, The Born Korea said that Paik Jong-won's mother and actress So Yoo-jin's mother-in-law, the late Lee Kyung-sook, passed away. She was 86.
Paik Jong-won had in the past expressed special feelings toward his mother on his YouTube channel. He said that when he decided to start a business his family opposed it and "My mother was scolded a lot by my grandmother over this. The wake will be set up in room 31 of the funeral hall at Seoul St. Mary's Hospital at 10 a.m. on the 11th, and the funeral will be at 8 a.m. on the 13th. The burial site is reported to be Seogeyang-ri, Sinyang-myeon, Yesan County, Chungcheongnam-do.
