After finishing his military service in December last year, singer and actor Hwang Min-hyun will release his new song "Truth" today (11th) at 6 p.m.
"Truth" is a pop ballad that says that even amid a shaky daily life, the truth that we are together does not change. It plainly expresses the relief felt when, at the end of a day of giving everything and enduring, one suddenly thinks of someone. As this is Hwang Min-hyun's new song, released about two years after "Lullaby," strong response from fans is expected.
At the fan meeting held from the 6th to the 8th at Yes24 Live Hall in Gwangjin District, Seoul, Hwang Min-hyun gave fans a surprise preview of the song's stage. His distinct clear tone blended with the soft melody and heartfelt lyrics, leaving a deep impression. Hwang Min-hyun said, "Even when you're tired and struggling, I wanted to convey to Hwangdo (the fandom name) the message that the fact we are together does not change," and added, "Just being by your side is what calms my breath again — that is you," drawing applause.
Hwang Min-hyun is accelerating his "all-rounder" activities across stages and broadcasts. The day before (10th), he attended the "2026 CJ Visionary" awards ceremony held at the CJ ENM Center in Mapo District, Seoul. At this awards ceremony, which selects individuals or works that presented a new vision for the entertainment industry, he received the Visionary trophy for his role as Yoon Ga-min in the TVING original "Study Group." He recently confirmed his appearance in season 2 of the series, signaling another career-defining role.
The fan meetings continue. Hwang Min-hyun will hold "HWANG MIN HYUN FAN MEETING [UTOPIA] IN TOKYO" in three performances at Tokyo International Forum Hall on April 4–5 next month. The final performance will be broadcast live locally on TV Asahi.
