Comedian Park Na-rae, who is to be investigated by police as a suspect, abruptly postponed her scheduled appearance, drawing attention to the background.
On the 11th, Park Na-rae's side told OSEN, "She was scheduled to appear at 2:30 p.m. on the 12th at the Seoul Gangnam Police Station to be questioned, but she requested a postponement of her appearance for health reasons."
Park Na-rae, who is accused of abusing former managers and of illegal medical procedures, was scheduled to appear at 2:30 p.m. on the 12th at the Seoul Gangnam Police Station to be investigated as a suspect.
However, just one day before the investigation she suddenly applied to postpone the appearance, and there was speculation that the reason might be that standing on the photo line would be burdensome.
Park Na-rae's side said the request to postpone the interview was for health reasons and that "it is absolutely not because she is trying to avoid the investigation."
Park Na-rae is currently embroiled in allegations of abusing former managers and illegal medical procedures. The former managers filed a complaint against Park last December on charges including defamation and violation of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, saying they suffered damages from "gapjil" such as workplace harassment while employed, proxy prescriptions, and unpaid production fees. In response, Park's side counter-sued them on charges of extortion and embezzlement in the course of business.
