Broadcaster Cho Sae-ho has halted activities, but news has come that he will serve as master of ceremonies for his close friend Nam Chang Hee's wedding.
On the 11th, a representative of Cho Sae-ho's agency told OSEN, "It is true that Cho Sae-ho will serve as master of ceremonies for Nam Chang Hee's wedding. Their bond is special, so it turned out that way," issuing an official statement. Nam Chang Hee personally asked ahead of the wedding, and Cho Sae-ho accepted after much consideration.
The two, known as representative close friends in the entertainment industry, have maintained their friendship for more than 20 years since their unknown days, and since 2019 they have been active as the group Jo Nam Ji Dae.
Meanwhile, Nam Chang Hee will hold his wedding on the 22nd at the Shilla Hotel Dynasty Hall in Jangchung-dong, Seoul. The wedding venue is famous as the site where recently Kim Woo-bin and Shin Mina, Yu Jae-seok and Na Kyung-eun, and Kwon Sang-woo and Son Tae-young held their weddings.
Cho Sae-ho halted activities last year after allegations circulated that he had ties with A, a gangster who operated an illegal gambling site. B, who claimed the acquaintance, alleged that A operated an illegal online gambling site and was involved in crimes such as money laundering, and that Cho Sae-ho promoted A's franchise restaurant and then received expensive gifts.
Regarding this, Cho Sae-ho drew a line, saying, "He is just an acquaintance I met at a local event and unrelated to gangsters," and strongly denied the allegation of receiving gifts in exchange as "groundless." Afterwards, Cho Sae-ho voluntarily withdrew from all TV programs he was appearing on and announced a halt to activities, and said he plans to take legal action against the false claims.<
