KARD member Jeon Ji-woo will make her solo debut after about nine years.
Jeon Ji-woo will release her first EP (EX)IST today (11th) at 6 p.m. on various music sites.
The title track "Home Sweet Home" is a track that crosses the boundaries of R&B and alternative pop. Jeon Ji-woo's distinctive tone layered over a rhythmic bridge raises the song's immersion to the highest level. It awakens listeners' honest instincts amid the deep tension and desire that continue until the end of the night.
The music video released with the song contrastingly depicts the "seductive self" and the "liberated self" amid the intersection of darkness and light. The collision of the two selves slowly reveals the real "Jeon Ji-woo," adding to the anticipation.
In addition, (EX)IST includes five diverse genres in total: "Mutual," a dreamy track that sings about the pleasure of honesty; "Dang Dong (feat. BM of KARD)," which expresses an intense attraction that begins the moment two gazes meet; "Lily," which contains the desire to remain an indelible presence to someone; and "Home Sweet Home (Inst.)," the instrumental version of the title track.
In particular, Jeon Ji-woo wrote the lyrics for the fourth track "Lily" herself, clearly imprinting her own musical color as a solo artist. KARD member BM also contributed to the songwriting on the tracks "Mutual" and "Dang Dong (feat. BM of KARD)," raising the album's completeness.
