The group IVE is once again sparking the "IVE syndrome" with their new song "BANG BANG".
According to their agency Starship Entertainment, the pre-release track "BANG BANG" from IVE's second full-length album REVIVE+ (Revive Plus), released on the 9th, ranked No. 1 on YouTube music video worldwide trending as of 8 a.m. on the 11th. Along with this, since the 10th it has firmly held the No. 1 spot on YouTube's trending music in Korea for two consecutive days, proving its buzz both domestically and internationally.
Its performance on major domestic music charts is also overwhelming. "BANG BANG" entered the upper ranks of Melon HOT100 immediately after release and rose to No. 4 on the top 100 (as of 8 a.m. on the 11th), demonstrating explosive popularity. Additionally, it has consistently placed in the top ranks, including No. 1, on major music sites such as Bugs, Jini, Vibe and Flo, laying the groundwork for a long chart run.
Its achievements on global charts have been unstoppable as well. "BANG BANG" reached No. 19 on the iTunes worldwide song chart (on the 10th) and, as of 8 a.m. on the 11th, charted in the top 10 on the iTunes top K-pop song chart in 21 countries and regions, while appearing on the top song charts of 17 countries and regions. Notably, as of 9 a.m. on the 11th it ranked No. 1 on the rising chart of China's largest music streaming platform QQ Music. In Japan, after release it swept No. 1 on major music sites including AWA's real-time rising chart and No. 1 on the overseas new releases top, overseas pop top and overseas hit song top charts. It also secured No. 3 on Line Music's real-time top 100 and new song real-time charts, and No. 1 on mora's overseas singles real-time chart, reaffirming its solid global influence.
The new song "BANG BANG" is built on EDM and electronic sounds with a western swing intro, and the track delivers an assertive message about carving out situations by one's own choices without being swayed by others' gaze or rumors. Its addictive hook and rap add listening pleasure and further heighten anticipation for the second full-length album.
IVE is unveiling various teasing content ahead of the official release of the second full-length album REVIVE+ (Revive Plus) on the 23rd, and will reveal the stage for "BANG BANG" for the first time on cable channel Mnet's "M Countdown" on the 12th.
