MBC 'Save me! Homes' (directed by Jeong Da-hee, Nam You Joung, Heo Ja-yoon, Kim Seong-nyeon, hereafter 'Homes') follows up 'black-and-white zone' part 2 by heading out on a winter cold-wave site visit.
On the broadcast on the 12th, to see how people in a village that must endure extreme cold spend the winter, 'naturalist' Kim Dae-ho, 'Dongducheon genius' Yang Se-hyung and Yang Se-chan, and 'paper doll' Ahn Jae-hyeon set off for a winter site visit to a remote village in Jeongseon, Gangwon Province. The village they visit is located deep in the mountains and is known as the "land of seclusion," a remote area where even cellphone signals do not reach, foreshadowing a difficult journey from the start.
The four walked in on snow-covered roads from the snowfall on the day of filming and began the site visit. After the previous '30s single man's house' site visit, Ahn Jae-hyeon, appearing on Homes for the second time, was reportedly shocked by the extreme filming conditions, saying, "It's so different from when I came before." When Kim Dae-ho asked if he liked nature, Ahn Jae-hyeon strongly denied it, saying, "I'm a city type!" which drew laughter. Yang Se-chan also agreed he was a "city type," naturally splitting into "city type" and "nature type," raising expectations for what kind of chemistry the four will create.
Before the full site visit, clothing checks for the cold wave were conducted and survival tips poured out. Yang Se-chan said the key is to wear multiple thin layers, suddenly took off his pants, and Kim Dae-ho joined in, turning the studio into a state of shock. In the unexpected situation, Ahn Jae-hyeon was reportedly so shocked he even staggered in his legs.
While heading to the village, the four discovered a frozen valley and for a moment returned to childlike innocence. Unlike "nature type" Kim Dae-ho and Yang Se-hyung, who excitedly enjoyed the thrill on the ice with happy expressions, "city type" Yang Se-chan and Ahn Jae-hyeon added fun with contrasting reactions, exclaiming, "It sounds like it's breaking?!" and not stopping the fuss.
Next comes a site visit to the winter essential infrastructure known as the "curling zone (curling district)." The four will engage in fierce competition over the "wish right." In particular, Yang Se-hyung jokingly raised suspicions about 'naturalist' Kim Dae-ho, saying, "This guy didn't grow up in the countryside, he doesn't know this game!" which provoked laughter. Expectations are high to see who will show the strongest survival skills in the harsh remote village.
