Also, Hwang Shin-hye's mother attracted attention by revealing that she has been managing her daughter's assets until now. About this, the mother explained, "(My daughter) knows nothing about asset management. From the time she started earning money I handled everything from the passbook to spending. She left everything to me. She uses the allowance she receives," she explained. Hwang Shin-hye reacted in surprise, saying, "Is that being a filial daughter?"
A surprised Jung Ga-eun asked, "Does she receive money and spend it?" and reacted, "Is my mother telling me now to leave my bankbook with her?", provoking laughter.
Her mother, who served as her manager from her debut at age 20, recalled, "There was even a time when I took Yoo In-chon along. We even did department store second-day sales (signing events)," she said, "I did that for a while after her debut. I did it until she was 30," she recalled.
She went on to say, "When she was cast in the drama 'First Love,' I was dizzy thinking about how to procure costumes if she and I were to play the daughters of a wealthy family. I hoped she would be cast as a poor family's daughter, but she was cast as a wealthy family's daughter. But once costume sponsorships came in, I wasn't worried."
At the time Hwang Shin-hye led trends not only as a commercial queen but also with Hwang Shin-hye fashion because of her westernized looks from early in her debut. Her mother said, "I've never done anything with my own hands. The saying that you sit and take your husband's money and stand to take your children's money is true," and confessed she could never spend the allowance she gave her daughter. Hwang Shin-hye added, "My mother didn't spend money, so even when I gave her a card she wouldn't use it."
Jung Ga-eun sympathized, saying, "I wish I could buy tasty things with the money I earn, but my mother also calls every time she uses my card to explain herself," she said. Jung Ga-eun's mother revealed her cautious feelings, saying, "If it exceeds 100,000 won I worry whether I should pay in full or installment."
Meanwhile, Jang Yoon Jeong's mother made people laugh by saying, "I spend comfortably. It's living expenses; since I live alone I have to manage my life, don't I?"
