NMIXX will participate in the Brazilian Carnival, one of the world's largest festivals, as the first K-pop artist to do so.
The Brazilian Carnival São Paulo will be held in São Paulo, Brazil, for five days from Feb. 14 (local time) through Feb. 18, and NMIXX will appear on Feb. 16 as a special guest at the block party of local representative artist Pabllo Vittar.
A block party refers to the street festival of the Brazilian Carnival, and this is the first time a K-pop artist has participated. This performance symbolizes the historic fusion of K-pop, which has captivated countless music fans around the world, and Brazilian pop, and NMIXX members will take the stage at Pabllo Vittar's block party to offer local carnivalgoers a special delight.
Last August, NMIXX and Pabllo Vittar drew global attention by releasing the collaboration song "MEXE," and the two meet again at the Brazilian Carnival about six months later to deliver a fantastic synergy. "MEXE" blends NMIXX's distinctive "MIXX POP" sound with Pabllo Vittar's energetic and distinctive Brazilian pop sound; it features joint vocals by the two artists, lyrics written in both Korean and Portuguese, and Latin-style choreography.
Since their debut in 2022, NMIXX has steadily maintained a strong fan base in Brazil, and their participation in the Brazilian Carnival as the first K-pop artist to do so proves their powerful local popularity and influence.
