Actors Yoon Jong-hoon, Uhm Hyun-kyung, Jung Yoon and Yoon Da-young have been confirmed to appear in KBS 1TV's new daily drama "Gippeun Uri Joeun Nal".
KBS 1TV's new daily drama "Gippeun Uri Joeun Nal" (directed by Lee Jae-sang, written by Nam Seon-hye) is a warm family drama full of stories from various generations who each want to become "the protagonist of my life," centered on a life-and-death tug-of-war between the world's most perfect man and a klutzy woman.
"Gippeun Uri Joeun Nal" brings together director Lee Jae-sang, recognized for his warm and delicate direction in "Once Again" and "Father Is Strange," and writer Nam Seon-hye, who showcased trendy writing in "Suji-mat-eun Uri" and "Amor Fati - Love Now." Added to that, a solid quartet of actors are working together, already drawing viewers' expectations.
First, Yoon Jong-hoon takes on the role of Go Gyeol, an architect armed as the ultimate "boss of all bosses." Behind his cynical gaze, biting remarks and carefree attitude lie untold stories. Yoon Jong-hoon is expected to captivate viewers by delicately portraying Go Gyeol's multifaceted aspects that swing between perfection and humanity. In particular, having demonstrated a powerful presence that straddles good and evil in "Rebirth of Seven," "Shooting Stars," and "The Penthouse," attention is focused on what kind of character versatility he will show this time.
Uhm Hyun-kyung plays Jo Eun-ae, a startup developer determined to realize a humanistic AI world. Although she is always scolded at home, she is a happy virus with a characteristic infinite positive mindset who lives boldly. But she faces the risk of having a red line drawn across her life due to an unexpected incident. Having led dramas with distinctive character portrayals in "Fearless Yong Soo-jung," "The Second Husband," and "The Secret Man," expectations are high for the lovely energy she will show.
Meanwhile, Jung Yoon passionately plays Go Min-ho, Go Gyeol's older brother and head of strategy planning at Kangsu Group. He was once nicknamed "Ten Minute" during his school days for his handsome looks and excellent fashion sense. But his one-track, wholehearted devotion, looking only to Seo Seung-ri (played by Yoon Da-young), will raise viewers' excitement. His solid acting foundation built through "Suji-mat-eun Uri," "Red Shoes," and "Amazing Legacy" is expected to shine in this work as well.
Yoon Da-young appears as Seo Seung-ri, a flawless career woman and manager in the strategy planning office at Kangsu Group. She achieved rapid promotion through outstanding beauty, keen intellect and perfect work handling. But she has an unexpected quirky charm as a "master of freestyle dancing." Having made an impression on viewers through "Geumiya Okiya," "National Representative Wife," and "The Witch's Diner," Yoon Da-young is set to exude both confidence and loveliness in this work.
In relation to this, the production team said, "We feel reassured just by the meeting of the four actors with solid acting skills. The bickering chemistry they will create will inject new vitality into the daily drama," and added, "Please look forward to the realistic, relatable family stories of diverse generations and the special romances of the protagonists that will bloom within them."
Meanwhile, "Gippeun Uri Joeun Nal" is scheduled to premiere in March as the successor to "Marie and Her Three Daddies."
