Coupang Play variety show "Sisters' Chicken" has unveiled its main poster along with a teaser trailer.
"Sisters' Chicken," which premieres on Feb. 14 at 4 p.m., is a cheky-taka chemistry talk show in which Suzy, I-rang and Min, three sisters who are serious about their hobbies and passionate about chicken, run a chicken joint that is a mecca for club members and welcome top star guests. As the follow-up to "Sisters' Cafe," which drew strong reactions with the realistic sister chemistry of Lee Suji and Jeong I-rang, it heralds the return of the "golden-ratio variety" that swings between comfort and wild dopamine.
This time, versatile entertainer Lee Suji, who continues her unstoppable rise, and Jeong I-rang, whose irreplaceable acting raises immersion in every scene, are joined by Kim Min, the "monster rookie actress" who left a strong impression with her shocking performance in Low Life, as the youngest sister, raising expectations as she takes on her first variety show challenge.
The released poster features the three sisters smiling brightly against the backdrop of "Sisters' Chicken," the mecca and hangout for club members, promising a Saturday afternoon full of laughter and chatter. The subsequently released teaser shows Lee Suji and Jeong I-rang bickering at the slightest glance and the youngest sister Kim Min looking resignedly on as if thinking "the sisters are at it again," previewing the three sisters' everyday-life chemistry.
Twin older sister Sun-yi (Jeong I-rang), born one minute before "Sun-ja" (Lee Suji), is the eldest who handles deliveries and cleaning and is recovering from the reality of a working adult whose lifelong homework is anger management through club activities. "Sun-ja" (Lee Suji), who manages the hall and customers, is the social butterfly who opened the chicken shop because of the club and, leveraging her flashy connections, was the key contributor to making "Sisters' Chicken" a mecca for club members. The youngest "Min" (Kim Min), born the only one in the family with beauty, oversees the kitchen and, with a Gen Z sensibility that dislikes clubs, shows a different charm from her older sisters.
With the poster and teaser released, expectations are rising again for the irreplaceable chemistry of Lee Suji and Jeong I-rang, who were recognized as the ultimate sisters who generate memes whenever they appear together through "Sisters' Cafe." Added to this is Kim Min, who made a 180-degree transformation from her striking short-cut image in the previous work to take her first step into variety, sparking curiosity about the birth of a new comedy formula unique to "Sisters' Chicken."
