Park Kyung-gu, a member of the band Urginity who took part in several songs by Jang Beomjune, died at age 38 on the 7th.
According to the music industry on the 10th, Park Kyung-gu's cousin conveyed the obituary by posting on the deceased's social networking service (SNS), saying, "We would be grateful if you would accompany my brother's last journey with warm hearts." The cause of death was not disclosed.
Park Kyung-gu is known to have performed street shows (busking) with Jang Beomjune early in his career. He later continued to work as a musical colleague, being credited with lyrics and composition on many of Jang Beomjune's songs, including "Between Hongdae and Kondae," "Difficult woman," "Fallen leaves ending," "Shinpoong Station exit 2 blues," and "Nuna."
Jang Beomjune released his fourth solo album, "A History of Losers," in Mar. last year and left a message in the album introduction wishing Park Kyung-gu good health. Recently, Jang posted a "Park Kyung-gu best live clip" video on his YouTube channel, in which he sings songs composed by Park, to mourn the deceased.
