Singer Aoora (AOORA) has returned with a new song infused with Indian culture.
Released today (the 10th) at 12 p.m. on various online music sites, Aoora's new song "Shiva Shivam (Tandava)" is inspired by ancient Sanskrit hymns praising the Hindu god Shiva, combining traditional Indian mantras (Mantra) and modern EDM sounds to deliver an intense, immersive experience.
"Shiva Shivam (Tandava)" musically expresses the symbolism of Shiva's cosmic dance, the "tandava," which has been passed down for a long time in Indian cultural spheres. It is characterized by expressing the energy of the tandava—where destruction and creation, chaos and stillness coexist—through trance-based rhythms and performance-centered composition.
Skilled producer Friday (FRIDAYYY) participated in this work to raise its completeness. Placing Sanskrit mantras and English lyrics harmoniously over intense sound design and sophisticated arrangements, they completed an original message where tradition and modernity coexist.
On the day of the release, Aoora will hold a private screening in Mumbai, India, in the afternoon to mark the new song's release and begin targeting the local market. The screening will be attended by many local celebrities including Manara Chopra and Pratik, as well as religious figures, media officials and influencers, who will directly experience Aoora's sensory music.
Aoora said the process of conveying the meaning of Shiva through music and performance itself was a great challenge and a time of growth, and added that she hopes it will reach listeners not as simple EDM but as an energetic experience.
