Actor Lee Jin-hee is firmly holding the center of the drama with a performance that shifts in emotional temperature.
Lee Jin-hee is playing the role of Dongju's wife in KBS 2TV's Saturday-Sunday miniseries "Eun-ae, dear thief," portraying a woman who has raised a child alone with a restrained emotional line, convincingly completing the character's narrative with performances that alternate between coldness and warmth.
On the broadcasts on the 7th and 8th, a scene was shown in which Hong Eun-jo (Nam Ji-hyun) and Lee Yeol (Moon Sang Min) brought children with nowhere to go to Dongju's house. Lee Jin-hee quietly added a warm tone to the drama by calmly expressing Dongju's maternal love as she warmly cared for the children and showed them around the house.
In the following scene where she sat down and talked with Eun-jo, her natural dialect acting and everyday-life bickering with Seoksam (Hong Woo-jin) drew laughs. Her not-overdone emotional expression and rhythmic lines preserved chemistry with surrounding characters and raised the scene's completeness.
Through the Dongju wife character, Lee Jin-hee has effectively blended maternal love, humanity and everyday acting to serve as the emotional anchor of the drama. Interest is focused on what resonance the Dongju wife's narrative, completed by her temperature-shifting performance, will add to future developments.
Meanwhile, "Eun-ae, dear thief," in which Lee Jin-hee is active in the role of Dongju's wife with a performance full of maternal love, airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9:20 p.m. on KBS 2TV.
