Weathercaster Geum Chae-rim, who was a cohort of the late Oh Yo-anna, is leaving MBC.
On the 8th, Geum Chae-rim posted several photos on her social media and wrote, "Hello. I am Geum Chae-rim. Last Friday was my final weather report as a weathercaster. During the roughly five years I spent at MBC, I always delivered the weather in front of the camera with joy and excitement."
She continued, "I have no regrets because I did my best on every broadcast I was given, including emergency bulletins and live coverage during disasters and early morning broadcasts. Still, it is an honest feeling to have regret and a heavy heart when the job I loved and my profession are coming to an end."
Geum added, "Even so, so that this ending can be not an end but another beginning, I will greet you again in a new form from now on. I sincerely thank the seniors and directors who stayed by my side until the final broadcast."
The released photos showed Geum Chae-rim receiving colleagues' congratulations and support after her final broadcast. She expressed gratitude while showing the bouquet and cake she received as gifts.
A plaque of appreciation was also released. The plaque read, "You calmly carried out your duties on air and delivered accurate and friendly weather reports to viewers without wavering even in difficult moments. From spring dawns to winter evenings, you accompanied the changes of the four seasons and stood at the center of broadcasting with a quiet but steady presence. We sincerely wish that clear and warm days will always accompany your future."
Geum Chae-rim was a cohort of the late weathercaster Oh Yo-anna, who died after workplace bullying.
