To mark BTS' first full-group comeback after completing military service, the ticketing and entry methods for a free concert to be held at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul have been revealed.
According to label BigHit Music on the 9th, BTS will hold the free concert "BTS The Comeback Live | ARIRANG" on Mar. 21 following the release of its fifth studio album "Arirang (ARIRANG)." Ticket reservations for the concert will begin on the 23rd. It has been about 3 years and 9 months since BTS has taken the stage for an official full-group comeback.
According to the Seoul Metropolitan Government's explanation, BTS is said to be reviewing a plan to install the stage across from the Woldae in front of Gwanghwamun, at the starting point on the north side of Gwanghwamun Square. As for seating, plans under discussion would provide 17,000 seats in the main section in front of and near the stage and 17,000 seats on the sides, for a total of 34,000 seats.
Reservations will proceed along two main tracks. Free ticket reservations for the general public will open at 8 p.m. on the 23rd on NOL Ticket. Anyone can participate without separate conditions, and detailed reservation methods will be provided at noon on the 20th through Weverse and NOL Ticket.
A separate Weverse global entry event for the BTS fandom "ARMY" will also be held. A drawing will be conducted among Weverse membership subscribers who purchase the fifth studio album during the entry period, and the label said detailed schedules and participation methods will be announced on the 10th through Weverse.
The label added, "Because it is a free concert, it will be an opportunity for citizens to naturally encounter music and culture in their daily lives."
The concert will take place at 8 p.m. on Mar. 21 in and around Gwanghwamun Square. An online live broadcast is also planned alongside the on-site performance. The show is slated to be streamed live exclusively in about 190 countries in collaboration with Netflix.
