Singer G-DRAGON (G-Dragon) held his first solo fan meeting since his debut, drawing some 40,000 fans over three days and completing a single family narrative with the multigenerational fandom "FAM".
G-DRAGON met fans at the fan meeting "2026 G-DRAGON 'FAM' MEETING [FAM+ILY : FAMILY : FAM I LOVE YOU]" held over three days from the 6th to the 8th at KSPO DOME in Olympic Park, Songpa-gu, Seoul. This fan meeting was more than a simple gathering; for fans it was a moment that connected time and generations.
What made this fan meeting special was the wide spectrum of the fan base. From newly arrived teenage fans who have recently been called "the president of kids' choice" to fans who shared their youth during BIGBANG's heyday and are now middle-aged, fans of different generations connected under the name G-DRAGON as one family, cheering the same songs and laughing and crying at the same moments.
For the first time since his debut, G-DRAGON chose an intimate exchange closer to a "family gathering" than a performance. The 360-degree open stage, a layout that allowed eye contact with fans, and a program that moved between memories and the present revealed his sincere feelings toward each fan.
The three-day fan meeting deepened emotionally with each performance, becoming not a one-off event but a "response to the time we've spent together" and a "promise for the future we'll share." The cheers and energy that filled the venue, enough to make people forget the weekend cold snap, proved that G-DRAGON remains a current icon.
That day the MC was YouTuber Mimiminuu, who has often said that her reason for being is G-DRAGON, completing a genuine "seongdeok" moment. Her natural back-and-forth with G-DRAGON and empathetic rapport led the mood at the venue in a more cheerful direction. Especially when she shared her impressions of the fan meeting and conveyed messages from the FAMs, she became moved with the audience, leaving a deep aftertaste.
From the opening to the ending, the stage targeted fans' memories. Appearing aboard a giant crown, G-DRAGON opened the fan meeting with "Boy," raising the venue's heat. On the stage for "Who You?" he recreated a legendary mood that recalled 2013's "Inkigayo" with a white shirt, jeans and a red ball cap styling, prompting cheers. The ending stage flowed naturally into recent album Übermensch's tracks "TAKE ME" and "IBELONGIIU," closing the performance with a lingering impression.
At the center of the fan meeting was the conversation between G-DRAGON and the "FAM." He laughed while looking at old photos with fans, answered pre-submitted questions directly to show his human side, and won fans' hearts with witty banter that moved between empathy and humor. He also held events in which he generously gave a variety of gifts he prepared himself through mini games, demonstrating the epitome of "rewarding the fans" and further heating the atmosphere. During the following challenge time, he flawlessly performed fan-favorite challenges such as "Doma" and "CHANEL." In particular, in "OVERDRIVE," known as the so-called "acting cute challenge," he unleashed unprecedented playfulness, turning the audience upside down; he removed accessories boldly and cleverly used props, enjoying himself to the fullest and drawing more cheers. Voices calling out "Kwon Ji-yong" rang out throughout the audience, and the event flowed more like a communal play than a performance.
Detailed elements that allowed fans to enjoy G-DRAGON's worldview with all five senses were another highlight of the fan meeting. Even before entry, the outside of the venue welcomed fans with a daisy garden concept, and walnut cookies embossed with daisy flowers were provided in advance, making the fan meeting unfold like a festival from before it began. During the performance, a video effect that felt like riding the "88th floor elevator" added to the sensation that fans were inside his worldview together. An etiquette video featuring security guards delivering safety rules added wit, and at the end of the show confetti printed with G-DRAGON's handwriting scattered with his signature scent, enveloping the venue. These productions, filling the stage and beyond, expanded the fan meeting from a "show to watch" into a "world to experience."
G-DRAGON said, "After my comeback I welcomed a new family and held this fan meeting. Because of regret for those who couldn't join the tour, I wanted to create a family-gathering-like space," adding, "It felt like a wishlist moment and it was more enjoyable because we were together. I love you." He added, "The first official family gathering took place over three days and it was a time of becoming one again. Spring is coming soon, so please rest a bit along the flower path and wait for us." Finally he said, "This year BIGBANG will make a 20th anniversary comeback. As a member and simultaneously as a fan, I am also excited, and I think all the members feel the same," expressing his excitement about the comeback.
After the fan meeting, various social media and online communities were abuzz with reactions such as "an all-time fan meeting that shows sincerity in every detail," "no weak spots from stage to talk to production to gifts," "it showed everything fans wanted to see," and "this is exactly the 'Kwon Dajeong' class," generating hot discussion.
G-DRAGON will continue the solo fan meeting "2026 G-DRAGON 'FAM' MEETING [FAM+ILY : FAMILY : FAM I LOVE YOU]" with local fans at PIA ARENA MM in Yokohama, Japan, from Feb. 13 to Feb. 15, and at BITEC in Bangkok, Thailand, on Feb. 21 and 22.
