YG Entertainment is putting more effort into discovering talent that will open the future of the global K-pop market under the direct leadership of chief producer Yang Hyun-suk.
YG Entertainment posted '2026 YG SPECIAL AUDITION : GO! DEBUT' on its official blog on Feb. 5. Following the official poster announcing the event, the debut evolution videos of TREASURE and BABYMONSTER added to the excitement for participants.
The video shows members being selected as YG trainees and, through systematic training and numerous evaluations, gradually becoming fully realized artists. At the end, they draw attention as they take the concert stage amid the fans' roaring cheers.
So far, YG Entertainment has led the K-pop craze by producing numerous artists who perform on stages around the world beyond Korea. Recently, it has further strengthened its training system and accelerated efforts to launch next-generation groups by significantly shortening the time to debut.
YG said, "As you can tell from the title 'SPECIAL AUDITION,' there is a major distinction in this audition. Unlike before, chief producer Yang Hyun-suk will personally take part from the document screening, which can be considered the first gate of the audition, demonstrating a strong will to discover major new talent who will follow Big Bang and Blackpink."
Applications for '2026 YG SPECIAL AUDITION : GO! DEBUT' can be submitted through the YG audition website or the QR code on the poster until Feb. 28. Regardless of gender or nationality, anyone born from 2007 to 2015 can apply. Applicants should choose one field they are confident in among singing, rapping, dancing, visuals or charisma, and capture their potential in a video under one minute.
