Jo Yoon-seo and Choi Byung-chan showcase diverse charms within a unique world where AI and romance are combined.
The new drama 'Lovephobia' (writer Lee Se-ryeong, director Wang Hye-ryeong), which will be first released on the 19th at 11 p.m. on U+mobiletv and Lifetime, tells the story of Yoon Bia (Yeonwoo), the CEO of a dating app who is more comfortable with AI than people, and Han Seon-ho (Kim Hyun-jin), a romantic romance novelist, who design smart relationships with AI and come to understand the meaning of true love, and can be seen first through U+mobiletv VOD.
In 'Lovephobia,' Jo Yoon-seo plays Seol Jae-hee, the closest friend who knows Yoon Bia's (Yeonwoo) secret and co-CEO of the AI dating app 'It's You.' Jae-hee is the core of 'It's You,' perfect in all aspects including outstanding work ability and staff management. But cracks gradually form when people from HAN Agency suddenly join the peaceful daily life that Seol Jae-hee and Yoon Bia have built together.
In the stills released on the 9th (today), Jo Yoon-seo captures attention with glamorous styling and a bright smile that uplifts viewers. She appears to be Seol Jae-hee herself, with superior beauty and a naturally exuded confident attitude. In other stills, Jo Yoon-seo has a meaningful expression with deep eyes full of emotions as if to prove the shaking of 'It's You.' Curiosity rises about what kind of waves the unexpected variables triggered by Seol Jae-hee will bring to the drama.
Choi Byung-chan transforms into Han Baek-ho, the director of HAN Agency, where his twin brother Han Seon-ho (Kim Hyun-jin) belongs. Han Baek-ho has been the best supporter, supporting his older brother's writing activities since childhood and playing both brother and colleague roles. With noticeable looks and a smiling gaze that melts people, he ends up going to work at 'It's You' in a twist tied to his brother Seon-ho's work, and there he falls into fateful love.
In the released stills, Choi Byung-chan unabashedly shows his 'rich expressions.' With deep dimples and a bright smile, he conveys bright energy and makes viewers smile with a mischievous side. However, in other stills he is seen clutching a phone with an expression as if he has heard shocking news, on the verge of tears, attracting attention. Interest grows in what caused the change of heart for Lovephobia's 'positive man' Choi Byung-chan.
Thus, Jo Yoon-seo and Choi Byung-chan, capturing rich emotional lines, have foreshadowed their roles in 'Lovephobia.' Attention is focused on what synergy the two actors' performances, which make viewers curious about the narrative even from stills alone, will bring to 'Lovephobia.'
'Lovephobia' is an SF romantic comedy that breaks away from the framework of a typical romance drama by combining the unique subject of AI. Director Wang Hye-ryeong, who proved her stylish and inventive directing through 'Transaction,' 'Youth Blossom,' and 'I Will Descend, to the Earth,' and writer Lee Se-ryeong, who has been recognized for delicate writing through works such as 'Love Broken' and 'Summer, Please,' have joined forces to raise expectations.
With Jo Yoon-seo and Choi Byung-chan joining to invigorate the drama and forming a perfect lineup, the new drama 'Lovephobia,' produced by WEMAD, will be released on Thursday, Feb. 19 at 11 p.m. on U+mobiletv and Lifetime.
