"An eight-year-awaited musical journey with ZICO, a fantastic drive shared through a parade of hit songs." Artist and producer ZICO won the hearts of local Japanese fans with overwhelming performance and stage presence.
ZICO successfully completed his solo concert '2026 ZICO LIVE : TOKYO DRIVE' held at Keio Arena Tokyo on the 7th. His solo concert, held in Japan for the first time in about eight years since the 2018 'King Of the Zungle' Tour in Tokyo', sold out well in advance, adding to the excitement.
ZICO kicked off the concert with the energetic hip-hop track 'Artist' on a stage set that used automobile structures. He then staged a parade of hits including 'Boys And Girls', 'Any Song', 'SPOT!', and 'She's Not It', instantly raising the atmosphere. The rich sound of the live band made fans' hearts beat faster, and with his explosive onstage drive, shouts and singalongs erupted nonstop, bringing the concert's RPM to its peak.
His wide musical spectrum that manipulated the audience stood out. Through songs such as 'SAEBBING (Prod. ZICO) (Feat. Homies)', 'Tough Cookie (Feat. Don Mills)', and 'No you can't', he showcased overwhelming rap skills, and when singing 'About being left (Feat. Down)' and 'People' he delivered an emotional atmosphere. During the 'You are me, I am you' stage, he sang the chorus in Japanese for local fans, conveying his sincerity and drawing cheers.
The joint stage with Lilas (Yoasobi Ikura), who collaborated on the single 'DUET', highlighted their bright and bouncy charm. Encore requests poured in for ZICO's passionate performance, and he performed fans' requested song 'Okey Dokey' on the spot, as well as belting out 'Turtle Ship' and 'Say Yes Or No (Feat. PENOMECO, The Quiett)', keeping fans excited until the end.
ZICO said, "I prepared this performance with the mindset that I must work hard. From this moment I want to share a new chapter with you. There were times when I wondered whether I was truly an artist while doing various activities, but every time I perform I realize my identity. I will continue to show a great side of myself as singer ZICO." He added, "It's regrettable that this performance was held only once. I will visit you more often with other performances."
The afterglow of ZICO's stage is translating into popularity for his new song. His recently released single 'Yin and Yang (FANXY CHILD Ver.) (Feat. DEAN, PENOMECO)' rose to No. 2 on YouTube's trending music chart as of the 7th. ZICO also appears on Mnet's 'Show Me the Money 12', which airs every Thursday at 9:20 p.m., where he is active as a producer.
