Japanese singer and actor Gen Hoshino successfully concluded his second concert in Korea.
Gen Hoshino held "Gen Hoshino Live in Korea "Promise"" at Incheon Inspire Arena on the 6th and met domestic fans.
That day Gen Hoshino briskly opened the concert with "化物(Bakemono(바케모노))". About 9,000 attendees, more than double the number from his first Korea concert, filled the venue with shouts from the start and greeted Hoshino Ge n's return with enthusiastic cheers through a slogan event.
Then Hoshino Ge n delivered a set list that could not be seen at previous concerts and heated up the atmosphere. He performed stages that domestic fans had been waiting for one after another, including "ミスユ(Miss You(미스 유))", "Continues(컨티뉴스)", "時よ(Tokiyo(토키요))", "老夫婦(노부부)", and "Melody(멜로디)", driving the audience into a frenzy.
In the middle of the concert Hoshino Ge n changed the mood by playing an acoustic guitar himself on the center stage. He newly reworked live performances of hit songs that received strong responses, such as "Star(스타)" and "Week End(위크 엔드)", prompting singalongs, and closed the main set with "Eureka(유레카)", maximizing the emotion of his first Korean arena concert.
Especially on the encore stage, which started with "Pop Virus(팝 바이러스)", Lee Youngji, who had appeared as a special guest during his first visit to Korea, appeared again and elicited a heated response. Hoshino Ge n showed a sophisticated consideration by changing some lyrics to welcome Lee Youngji, and on the subsequent "2 (feat. Lee Youngji)" stage the two of them conveyed happy energy to viewers with warm chemistry.
Gen Hoshino capped the finale with song choices that seemed to confirm the bond he has built with domestic fans. He sang "Hello Song(헬로 송)" and "Friend Ship(프렌드 십)" back to back, leaving a deep impression with a performance that showcased a perfect narrative arc.
As reflected in the concert's title, Hoshino Ge n quickly returned to Korea to keep the "promise" from his Seoul performance last September and performed with domestic fans for a second consecutive year. This concert, which made audiences feel the joy of being able to connect with one another through music beyond culture, is expected to become a major turning point in Hoshino Ge n's career.
