Comedian Kim Su-yong revealed his past brawl with Park Seung-dae.
On the 8th, the YouTube channel 'Jo Dongari' uploaded a video titled "First reveal!! The identity of the person Kim Su-yong got into a brawl with during a live broadcast."
In the video, Kim Yong Man and Jee Seokjin mentioned the past live-broadcast brawl between Kim Su-yong and Park Seung-dae. Kim Su-yong explained, "Park Seung-dae was in KBS's 4th open recruitment class and I was in the 7th. We're the same age."
Jee Seokjin said, "It was a year-end broadcast. Kim Su-yong and I performed rubber-band comedy." Kim Su-yong said, "During the live broadcast we were doing the closing remarks. There were about 50 comedians and audience members. I was standing in the back when Park Seung-dae walked over. Back then we called seniors 'sunbae' regardless of age. Park Seung-dae said, 'Hey! Why did you do the rubber-band snapping? That's something I do with kids at Daehangno; why did you do that?'
He continued, "Park Seung-dae was claiming I saw what he did at Daehangno and then did it on the broadcast," and added, "But rubber-band comedy was something many people did. I said I did it as a special, so what's the big deal, and he went, 'Oh yeah?'"
He recalled, "Since it was live, I said let's talk after the show. Then Park Seung-dae said, 'Let's talk after the show?' and suddenly headed toward me with a headbutt. I should have not responded, but we pushed and hit each other and fought. Because both of us are tall, you could see the punching and kicking. The seniors blocked us so it wouldn't be visible and finished the live broadcast."
Kim Su-yong said, "Afterward the seniors were furious and summoned us to the comedians' room. The seniors said, 'I've done comedy for 40 years and this is the first time I've seen people fight during a broadcast.' After that we went to the children's choir room. Park Seung-dae's friends came, told them to leave, and the two of us remained."
He added, "I thought about how to resolve it. We faced each other wondering who would speak first," and said, "Park Seung-dae said, 'We're the same age. Let's be friends,' and we both said, 'We were crazy,' and reconciled, agreeing to be like friends."
