Model-turned-broadcaster Hong Jin Kyung revealed a conversation with her daughter Rael that sparked a 'plastic surgery rumor' commotion.
On the afternoon of the 8th, Hong Jin Kyung posted multiple photos to her SNS with the message, "Rael has been contacted. Sorry for causing concern. #HongJinKyungmotheranddaughter sincerely. Rael posted this with permission. For reference, not a paid promotion."
The released photos included messages exchanged between Hong Jin Kyung and her daughter Rael. Hong Jin Kyung anxiously looked for her daughter, asking, "Rael, where are you?" After Rael said she was having dinner, Hong Jin Kyung said, "This is not the time for you to be eating dinner. Why haven't you been reachable all day? Since yesterday! Korea went crazy since yesterday. Because of your photos," and then explained the reason for contacting her.
Rael said she had seen the articles and joked, "Mom's post about me is more serious," and added, "Let's just walk out holding hands. The fake life. Make an episode about Hong Jin Kyung and her daughter," which made people laugh.

After Hong Jin Kyung revealed the conversation with Rael, actor Lee Dong-hwi drew attention by commenting, "Rael, please do uncle's photo too."
Earlier, an online community posted multiple photos under the title "Rael, Hong Jin Kyung's daughter, who has changed unrecognizably, current status." The photos showed Rael with noticeably reduced cheek fat and a look quite different from her childhood, drawing attention.
As the daughter's photos became a topic and even sparked plastic surgery rumors, Hong Jin Kyung personally explained that they were "edited," and later revealed the conversation with Rael to help put the issue to rest.
