Hollywood actor Margot Robbie once again proved the "high-heel newsworthiness" during the press tour for the film Wuthering Heights.
According to a recent report by People, Robbie wore a gothic-mood Roberto Cavalli black mini dress in styling revealed on her social media at the end of January. With a fit-and-flare design that combines a bold silhouette and bell-sleeve details, it completed a romantic yet dark atmosphere.
But the real buzz was the shoes. The shoes Robbie wore in photos released by stylist Andrew Mukamal were Christian Louboutin's "So Kate" pumps. Made of patent leather that highlights the signature red sole, the heel height reaches approximately 12 cm (4.74 inches).
When the photo was released, the comment section immediately heated up. Fans poured out reactions such as "Just looking at them makes my feet hurt," "Aren't those almost torture heels?" and "How can anyone stand wearing those?"
In particular, these high heels were once again discussed as they were naturally compared to the pink pumps Robbie wore in Barbie (2023). At the time, the scene of "feet that keep their shape even without shoes" became a worldwide sensation, and fans even reacted, "A head-to-head showdown with Barbie feet."
Later, at a promotional event held in London, the shoes Robbie wore were Christian Louboutin's custom "Conchiyas heel." Originating from the 2014–15 F/W line, this design features a sleek pointed platform on the front and sides and a heel-less structure finished with spike details and a ribbon at the back, eliciting gasps at first sight. On social media, reactions poured in such as "Those shoes are insane" and "I can't take my eyes off those heels."
Meanwhile, Robbie plays the role of Catherine Earnshaw in this work and pairs with Heathcliff, played by Jaykom Elody. The film is a modern reinterpretation of Emily Brontë's 1847 novel of the same name, depicting a tragic love story entangled with obsession, jealousy and class conflict.
Emerald Fennell directed, and mixed reactions have already emerged regarding fidelity to the original work. The casting director also said, "Some literature fans may not be satisfied."
Meanwhile, Wuthering Heights is scheduled to be released in theaters on Feb. 13, ahead of Valentine's Day.
