Bianca Censori directly addressed various speculations surrounding the provocative revealing fashion she wore with her husband Kanye West.
In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Bianca Censori dismissed allegations that she was coerced, saying clearly, "If I didn't want to, I wouldn't have done it." It was the first time since their 2022 wedding that she specifically expressed her position on the revealing concept.
She said, "My husband and I consider outfits together. It has always been a collaboration," and emphasized, "It wasn't a structure where someone was giving orders." She went on to counter misunderstandings about fashion direction by likening it, saying, "If I had married Gianni Versace, wouldn't he have chosen the clothes?"
Censori has constantly drawn attention since her marriage with outfits that seemed to reveal almost her entire body. In particular, she sparked global controversy on last year's Grammy Awards red carpet by appearing in a completely sheer mini dress with no underwear. During this process, speculation that "Kanye West controls his wife" also followed.
Responding to this, Censori asked, "I didn't marry to gain a platform. I married for love," and retorted, "Does that sound too obvious?" While acknowledging herself as a person known for association (a nepo wife), she also expressed discomfort at the reality of her image being consumed and distorted without consent.
She also said of her revealing style, "I clearly had a 'nude obsession,'" and explained, "I repeatedly exposed the same image, and that itself was my art." She added that "in an era of excessive exposure, 'mystery' holds power," arguing that there is a message beyond mere exposure.
Meanwhile, Censori did not directly comment on reports that her marriage to Kanye West had hit a crisis. Earlier, some foreign outlets had claimed that West received rehabilitation treatment in Switzerland and that the couple had reconciled their relationship.
Through this interview, Bianca Censori shed the image of a "silent icon" that surrounded her and for the first time spoke up about who is behind her provocative actions.
