Actor Lee Bum-soo, 56, has ended his marriage with interpreter-translator Lee Yoon-jin, 43. About two years after news broke that the two had split, they are said to have finalized their divorce through a settlement.
Lee Bum-soo's agency Y1 Entertainment said on Feb. 6 that they "completed the legal procedures related to the divorce through an amicable settlement." It added, "Through sufficient discussions, they resolved their misunderstandings and agreed to support each other as the parents of their children going forward."
Lee Yoon-jin also directly shared her position by posting a handwritten letter on social media (SNS). In the letter, Lee said, "We have decided to end about 15 years of marriage and proceed with a consensual divorce after an amicable settlement," adding, "We resolved the misunderstandings that arose from a lack of conversation and communication during the marriage, and going forward, we decided to respect and support each other in our respective places as the parents of our children."
The two married in 2010 and have one son and one daughter. They also became familiar to the public by appearing on the KBS 2TV variety program "The Return of SUPERMAN," where they shared their family's daily life.
