'Chagane' Choo Sung Hoon had a harsh initiation into the intense spiciness of fresh wasabi leaves.
On the afternoon of the 5th, the tvN real gangsta sitcom Chagane depicted the Chagane organization's trip to Shizuoka, the holy land of wasabi, to expand its spicy-flavor business.
Facing freshly harvested, fresh raw wasabi at the site, Choo Sung Hoon showed interest with curious eyes. Especially after hearing a local explain that wasabi leaves are also edible, Choo Sung Hoon sniffed them himself and began to explore. Then, without hesitation, Choo Sung Hoon bit into a wasabi leaf; at the sudden rush of pungency he let out an exclamation mixed with a scream—"Hoouu"—turning the scene into a sea of laughter.
When questions poured in from around him asking if it was spicy, a flustered Choo Sung Hoon stammered, "No no, spicy? Oh, wait a second. Kind of," showing an un-fighterlike "spice wimp" side that provoked laughter. Regaining his composure, he delivered a vivid tasting note: "It's not extremely spicy, but it definitely tastes like wasabi."
At the campsite reached after hardships, a surprising healing experience awaited the members. The members could not hide their admiration at the charming, stylish camper and outdoor bathtub. In particular, the "wasabi welcome food" prepared to welcome the members was the highlight of the day.
