Park Wi·Song Ji-eun couple opened up about the changed meaning of love after marriage. In particular, the two expressed a sincere wish, saying, "If we have a child, we want to love them with dignity just as they are."
Recently, an interview video with Park Wi and Song Ji-eun was released on Compassion International's YouTube channel for child sponsorship. The two, who married in Oct. 2024, are newlyweds of about 1 year and 4 months, and they spoke honestly about each other's "true selves" that they only came to know after marriage.
Park Wi began, "When we were dating, I thought, 'We fit so well,' but after getting married I realized we are really different people." He added, "I only realized after marriage that Ji-eun was someone who always prioritized my opinion," and confessed, "My heart ached wondering if she had been suppressing herself all this time."
He added, "Now I want to let this person fully express the tendencies they have." Referring to Song Ji-eun, who recently took up flower arranging and hobbies, he said, "Her expression has changed. When you water a flower it blossoms, and it's so nice when someone reveals their true self."
Song Ji-eun also expressed trust in her husband. She said, "Meeting someone who accepts me as I am has made my heart much freer," and added, "If I later raise a child, I want to regard and love that child with dignity just as they are."
The two described marriage as "a gateway into a dimension of love that you could never learn alone." They also drew attention by explaining that when you stop trying so hard to understand one another and accept "this person is that person," the things you had to adjust disappear.
Meanwhile, Song Ji-eun and Park Wi married in Sep. 2024.<
