'Gen Z美' group KiiiKiii (KiiiKiii: Jiyu, I-sol, Sui, Ha-eum, Kiya) has launched an unstoppable hit run with their new song '404 (New Era)'.
According to agency Starship Entertainment, the title track '404 (New Era)' from KiiiKiii's mini album 2 'Delulu Pack', released on the 26th, ranked No. 8 on Melon TOP100 and No. 1 on HOT100 as of 9 a.m. today (the 6th), and also took No. 1 on Bugs' real-time and daily charts and YouTube's rising music chart.
In particular, the track quickly entered Melon TOP100—known as the 'concrete chart' because rankings hardly change once the top spots solidify—showing a steep rise to reach No. 8 in its second week after release; on Apple Music Korea it has held No. 1 for songs, videos and albums for eight consecutive days from the 30th to the present, and it rose to No. 2 on Spotify, proving continuing strong interest from domestic listeners.
Global success followed. As of 10 a.m. on the 6th, '404 (New Era)' entered the iTunes K-pop top song charts in 16 countries and regions, and 'Delulu Pack' also charted on the K-pop top album charts in 17 countries and regions, solidifying their presence.
Additionally, immediately after release 'Delulu Pack' took Nos. 1 and 2 on QQ Music's rising chart in China and placed all included tracks within the top 10, and it reached No. 1 on the K-pop weekly chart (on Jan. 30–Feb. 5), maintaining momentum. Also, the track 'Delulu' charted on NetEase Cloud Music's rising chart, peaking at No. 6 and appearing on the new song charts, while '404 (New Era)' also charted as of 12 p.m. on the 6th, proving its local popularity.
Moreover, KiiiKiii has captured the public's heart through music videos, practice videos and various content and radio appearances, showcasing solid live skills, musical ability and their distinct natural, cheerful energy. Accordingly, as of 9 a.m. today (the 6th) they placed five new-song-related contents simultaneously on YouTube's daily top video chart, demonstrating their presence.
KiiiKiii released the new record 'Delulu Pack' on the 26th of last month, pursuing musical expansion and solidifying their 'Gen Z美' image. In particular, the title track '404 (New Era)' reinterprets the website error code '404 Not Found' as 'freedom that exists without coordinates,' incorporating KiiiKiii's unique wit; with its addictive melody and playful, mischievous lyrics, it targets listeners' tastes at home and abroad.
They won first place on 'Show! Champion,' which aired recently on MBC every1 and MBC M, earning their first music show trophy since their comeback, and attention is focused on what kind of run KiiiKiii will continue.
