Actress Roh Jeong-Eui transformed into a youth full of positive energy.
On the 4th, in the first broadcast of tvN's new Wed-Thu drama Our Universe (written by Sujin · Shin I-hyun, directed by Lee Hyun-seok · Jung Yeo-jin, planned by Studio Dragon, produced by Scene & Studio Co., Ltd.), Roh Jeong-Eui played the role of the zealous young go-getter Woo Hyun-jin, who has maximum life skills, filling the screen with fresh vitality.
In episodes 1 and 2 of Our Universe, the tumultuous story of Woo Hyun-jin unfolded after she became tied to Sun Tae-hyung (Bae In Hyuk) as an 'in-law' following their worst first meeting and took on caring for her nephew Woo-ju (Park Yoo-ho), entering the front lines of childcare. After her sister, Woo Hyun-ju (Park Ji-hyun), who was her only family and a 'presence like an umbrella' who understood her without words, suddenly died in an unexpected traffic accident, Hyun-jin reunited with Tae-hyung at the funeral and raised the 'nephew' Woo-ju, who had survived the accident alone. In unfamiliar circumstances, she juggled childcare and interview preparation, but on the day of the interview she had no choice but to ask Tae-hyung to look after Woo-ju, and this led to complications over Tae-hyung's housing, prompting the two to begin a 'time-limited cohabitation' and heightening curiosity about the story's development.
Roh Jeong-Eui led the story at the center of the drama by vividly portraying the character's diverse aspects, from a spirited side that does not bow before reality's walls to warm affection for her nephew and a bickering chemistry with her in-law. Beyond that, the lovable and tender sisterhood shown with Park Ji-hyun, and the restrained expression of grief after losing her sister, evoked viewers' sympathy. By stably handling the complex emotional line that moves between brightness and sadness, responsibility and anxiety, Roh Jeong-Eui added immersion to the drama, raising expectations for the new face of youth she is completing.
Meanwhile, tvN's new Wed-Thu drama Our Universe airs every Wednesday and Thursday at 10:40 p.m.
