ENHYPEN member Seonghun served as a torchbearer for the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics in Milan, Italy, on the 5th (local time), brightly igniting the flame of peace and harmony.
A former member of the national figure skating reserve team, he said through Belift Lab Inc., "I am moved to set foot on the Olympic stage I dreamed of as an athlete as a singer," adding, "I was happy to take part in the glorious journey called the Olympics. I received tremendous energy thanks to ENGENE (the fandom name) and sports fans."
The area near Milan Bolivar station, part of the torch relay route, was packed with global fans who had gathered to see Seonghun. Fans who filled the streets hours before his appearance wore Taegeukgi flags and held up placards in Korean reading "Seonghun, fighting," radiating an excitement so intense it made them forget the cold.
The venue was filled with cheers chanting his name. As Seonghun received the flame and began to move, a spectacle unfolded as many people moved along with his steps. During about 20 minutes of relay time, he spread the Olympic spirit and the meaning of solidarity contained in the torch amid enthusiastic support from citizens, responded to fans with a bright smile and hand waves, and safely passed the flame to the next runner.
Seonghun currently serves as a public relations ambassador for the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee (KSOC) and as a member of ENHYPEN, leading efforts to promote the core value that connects sports and K-pop: "passion for what you love." Like the team's aspiration to connect "people and people" and "worlds and worlds" through music, he created a space for communication that transcended genres and borders through this torch relay.
Meanwhile, ENHYPEN, the group to which Seonghun belongs, is energizing the Olympics as their mini album 3 song "SHOUT OUT" from MANIFESTO : DAY 1 was selected as Team Korea's official cheer song.
