ENHYPEN member Seonghun lit the spark of peace and harmony as a torchbearer for the 2026 Milan·Cortina Winter Olympics in Milan, Italy, on the 5th (local time).
A former member of the national figure skating reserve team, he told Belift Lab Inc., "I am moved to step onto the Olympic stage I dreamed of as an athlete as a singer," adding, "I was happy to take part in this glorious Olympic journey. I received tremendous energy thanks to ENGENE (the fandom name) and sports fans."
The area near Milan Bolivar station, part of the torch relay route that day, was packed with global fans who had gathered to see Seonghun. Fans who had filled the streets hours before his appearance, draped in taegeukgi and holding placards that read "Seonghun, fighting" in Korean, gave off a feverish energy that made them forget the cold.
The scene was filled with cheers calling his name. When Seonghun received the flame and began to move, a spectacle unfolded as many people moved in step with him. During about 20 minutes of relay time, he conveyed the Olympic spirit and the meaning of solidarity contained in the flame amid enthusiastic support from citizens, and he returned the fans' support with a bright smile and waves of his hand, safely passing the flame to the next runner.
Seonghun is currently an ambassador for the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee (KSOC) and a member of ENHYPEN, taking the lead in promoting the core value that connects sports and K-pop: "passion for what you love." As the team aspires to connect "people to people" and "worlds to worlds" through music, he created a space of communication beyond genre and borders through this torch relay.
Meanwhile, ENHYPEN, which includes Seonghun, has energized the Olympics after the track "SHOUT OUT" from their mini album Manifesto : Day 1 was selected as Team Korea's official cheering song.
