Group Blackpink's Lisa becomes the lead in a rom-com film.
Netflix announced on the 6th (Korea time) via its official social media that Lisa will star in Netflix's new feature romantic comedy inspired by Notting Hill.
This work will be written by Katie Silberman, who wrote the scripts for the films Booksmart and Set It Up.
Earlier, Lisa made her acting debut in February last year by appearing as Mook in season 3 of the U.S. cable TV HBO series White Lotus. Based on that, after signing with major Hollywood agency WME, she was reported to be considering various global series and film appearances, including Netflix films.
After that, Lisa also confirmed her appearance in the Netflix action blockbuster Taigo. Taigo is an action film about a mercenary named Taigo, who grew up as a war orphan, embarking on a life-risking rescue mission when Ria, whom he regarded as family, is kidnapped by a criminal organization during an important mission. Lisa, who teams up with Don Lee and Lee Jin-uk, plays Ria, Taigo's friend and a team member who carries out missions with him.
With Lisa now actively pursuing an acting career, attention is focused on what new sides she will show going forward.
