Lisa of the group Blackpink will star in a Netflix original romantic comedy film. On the 6th, Netflix said on its official Instagram, "Lisa's romantic comedy era is opening," announcing news of her appearance in a new project.
The project is said to be inspired by the 1999 romantic comedy Notting Hill. The screenplay will be written by Katie Silberman, who wrote the film Booksmart and the romantic comedy Set It Up.
U.S. entertainment outlet Deadline reported that David Bernad, who participated in producing The White Lotus season 3, will join the project as a producer, and Lisa will also be credited as an executive producer and is said to be involved in the production process.
Lisa earlier expanded her acting range by playing the Thai character "Mook" in the HBO drama The White Lotus season 3. Lisa is currently filming the Netflix movie Taigo, and on the 27th Blackpink is scheduled to make a full-group comeback.
