"I have to do something."
This is what comedian Park Na-rae, whose whereabouts were spotted about a month later, left behind. Park Na-rae is learning brewing techniques amid a crisis in which her career as an entertainer could end along with her suspension of activities. Although rumors of a comeback have been raised, she was tight-lipped, saying there are matters that must be handled as a "top priority."
As Park Na-rae suspended activities amid controversy, rumors of her return surfaced. The start of the comeback rumors is Disney+'s "Fate War 49," which will be released on the 11th, and Disney+ released a poster and a preview video on the 4th.
"Fate War 49" is a supernatural survival variety show in which 49 destiny masters gather to test their fate through various missions. It will premiere on the 11th, and broadcaster Jun Hyun-moo, actor Park Haseon, singer Shin Dong and others will appear alongside Park Na-rae. Although Park Na-rae could not be found in the poster and preview video released that day, the fact that the variety show in which she appears was revealed naturally sparked rumors of Park Na-rae's return.
Park Na-rae is currently embroiled in a mudslinging fight with her former managers. The former managers filed an application for real estate provisional seizure worth 100 million won with the Seoul Western District Court on the 3rd of last month, claiming workplace harassment, proxy prescription, and nonpayment of production fees, and they filed a complaint with the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul accusing Park Na-rae of special injury, defamation by false facts, and violation of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection. In response, Park Na-rae filed a counter-complaint accusing the former managers of attempted extortion and then added a complaint accusing them of embezzlement in the course of business.
As she was embroiled in allegations of power abuse and of having received illegal medical procedures, she could not carry out activities normally. Park Na-rae delivered a video titled "final statement" and suspended activities, and as new exposés and allegations emerged in the meantime, Park Na-rae's comeback became increasingly distant.
Meanwhile, Park Na-rae's whereabouts were spotted in front of an academy in central Seoul that teaches makgeolli brewing techniques. It is known that Park Na-rae is taking makgeolli-making lectures at this academy, and when asked what she was learning, she replied, "I have to do something."
A man accompanying Park Na-rae said, "Park Na-rae is currently going through a very difficult and painful emotional time. To relieve that even a little, she carefully and painstakingly chose from among things she is interested in. She needed an environment where she could concentrate emotionally," and added, "Even in lonely situations when Park Na-rae is alone, she is trying to overcome this. She is preparing to testify very faithfully in areas where she will have to undergo police investigation in the future."
Although Park Na-rae is doing something, she drew a line on returning to the entertainment industry. Park Na-rae's side told OSEN, "'Fate War 49' was all pre-produced and was scheduled to be released in the first half of 2026," and "There are currently things unfolding that need to be resolved, so resolving those matters is a top priority rather than discussing a comeback." They stated that because the release date of "Fate War 49" had been set, it was unrelated to Park Na-rae's comeback, emphasizing that responding to the conflict with her former managers and the injection aunt controversy should come first.
Meanwhile, Disney+'s "Fate War 49," in which Park Na-rae appears as a panelist, will be released on the 11th.
