Singer and producer MC MONG completely denied the prostitution allegations.
MC MONG on the afternoon of the 5th directly posted on his social media regarding the prostitution allegations, "Prostitution allegations? I wonder under whose instruction such an article is written without any evidence or material proof," saying his position directly.
He explained the CCTV situation, saying, "Why was the first CCTV opened? For CCTV to be released, a police report must be filed and cooperation from investigative agencies is required, and for another person's footage the police must accompany [them] for the security guard to open the CCTV," adding, But I have never had any resident report. It is clearly footage obtained illegally, and that footage is not a scene of entering our home but a scene of everyone leaving together,"
He continued, "Someone close like a younger male friend, a female friend from work, and acquaintances simply gathering to talk — the media that makes this into such a state, and someone who plays with that media as if holding it in their hand?" and said, "That day was a gathering created because I announced I would quit the company and it was to comfort me; Cha Ga-won, the chairman, came by, everyone left, we talked about work for about 10 minutes, and that was the end of the day."
MC MONG criticized, "Those who turned an ordinary day no different from others into prostitution, you are nothing more or less than devils," and said he would take legal action against those who illegally obtained and distributed the footage.
Earlier on the 4th, the general programming channel TV CHOSUN's current affairs program 'Shintongbangtong' dealt with MC MONG's prostitution allegations based on material a media reporter released recently through the YouTube channel 'Jiritjirit'.
According to the report, a suspicious woman had been going in and out of the apartment where MC MONG recently resides, and residents reported, "It seems there is prostitution in the apartment." The management office checked the CCTV, and in the process footage captured MC MONG boarding and alighting the elevator with several women as they headed to the residence.
The 'Shintongbangtong' side said, "It is difficult to see this footage alone as evidence of prostitution. However, it has been confirmed that these women went to MC MONG's home at a late hour."
