Red Velvet members Joy and Irene warmed the airport with their unchanged friendship as they departed the country.
On Jan. 30, SM artists departed from Incheon International Airport to Fukuoka, Japan, to attend "SMTOWN LIVE 2025-26 in FUKUOKA," and Red Velvet's Irene and Joy also appeared at the departure hall, capturing fans' attention.
On that day, Irene got out of the car first and waited for Joy in front of the traffic light. Perhaps feeling a bit overwhelmed by the flash of fans and reporters gathered across the street, Irene shyly greeted them from slightly behind a pillar and quietly smiled.
A short time later, Joy stepped out of the car with a bright face, approached Irene, and warmly hugged her, brightening the mood. The two then walked out together into the middle of the crosswalk and struck poses, and Joy's bright smile combined with Irene's shy greeting to fill the scene with laughter in an instant.
Even during the brief move, the two members' "happiness virus," showing consideration for each other, was passed on to the fans and reporters who came to the scene.
Meanwhile, "SMTOWN LIVE 2025-26 in FUKUOKA" was held at Mizuho PayPay Dome in Fukuoka, Japan, on Jan. 31 and Feb. 1. In particular, this performance was made more meaningful as the first "SMTOWN LIVE" concert ever held in Fukuoka.
"SMTOWN LIVE" has continued its reputation as the No. 1 global concert brand by setting major records such as the "first solo Korean brand performance in Paris, France," the "first Asian artist performance at Madison Square Garden in New York," the "first overseas artist performance at Beijing National Stadium," and the "first large-scale K-pop concert in Dubai."
