Actor Park Shin-yang, who has been taking a break from acting for more than six years and focusing on his career as a painter, drew a line at retirement rumors.
On the 4th, Park Shin-yang, who appeared on Sung Si Kyung's YouTube channel, was asked about his acting activities and dismissed the retirement rumors.
On that day, Park Shin-yang said in relation to currently taking a break from acting, "I am not dissatisfied because I cannot act now, nor am I in a state of lingering attachment or thirst for acting at all."
Park Shin-yang has had no subsequent projects since the 2024 release of the film "Sah-eul". However, because "Sah-eul" was also completed in 2020 and released in 2024, the acting hiatus has already exceeded six years.
He mentioned the pain of creation, saying, "It is because I am working in a genre that is an expression coming entirely from me," and "the tension of facing it is considerably greater than when acting."
