Entertainer Shin Dong-yeob said his daughter, Ji-hyo, who drew attention after being accepted to both the Korea National University of Arts and Seoul National University, has decided to attend Seoul National University. Ji-hyo is said to be entering the College of Education's department of physical education at Seoul National University.
Shin Dong-yeob said in an interview on the 5th, "I couldn't answer many calls because I had a lot of shoots the day before, but congratulations poured in," adding, "Above all, it's thanks to the child doing well." He added, "We enjoyed the joy of being accepted to two schools at the same time."
Shin Dong-yeob said, "She decided to enter Seoul National University," adding, "My child has loved ballet and kept at it, but also liked studying. I'm just grateful for how hard she worked." He also credited his wife, producer Seon Hye-yoon, saying, "Her mother also worked very hard."
Producer Seon Hye-yoon is a graduate of Seoul National University's department of German education, and if Ji-hyo enters Seoul National University, mother and daughter will be alumni of the same university.
When asked about his daughter's "study secret," Shin Dong-yeob answered, "We left everything up to her." He said, "She started ballet as a hobby, grew to love it and continued, and she also did well academically," adding, "Her College Scholastic Ability Test results were good this time."
Shin Dong-yeob married producer Seon Hye-yoon in May 2006 and had daughter Ji-hyo in 2007 and son Gyu-wan in 2010. Ji-hyo continued ballet while attending Sunhwa Arts Middle School and Sunhwa Arts High School.
