Regarding this, Rhee Minjung said, "I approached it thinking my ears would be delighted. I was happy throughout the recording because first-place singers with incomparable vocal skills performed." She added, "'1deungs' doesn't seem to be a program like other audition shows where who gets eliminated or who survives is the focus. This time one singer might dominate the stage, and the next time another singer might make people cry; I felt this is a program where the emotion given by the stage is important," conveying the emotion at the scene.
Rhee Minjung also revealed why she took on her first-ever music variety MC role through "1deungs." Rhee Minjung said, "I usually really like audition programs and listening to music. Also, I thought music has the greatest healing power for people, so I gladly decided to appear," adding, "It's a genre I'm trying for the first time so there are nervous parts, but since the stage is led by singers, I will do my best to let them shine."
