Jang Dong-joo spoke out about malicious comments directed at him after the hacking incident.
On the 5th, Jang Dong-joo posted a photo along with the words "losers who hide behind anonymity and belittle others" on his personal account.
The published photo included comments left by netizens after he confessed that he had fallen into tens of billions in debt following the phone hacking.
Earlier last month, Jang Dong-joo said he suffered serious damage due to phone hacking and confessed that he sold his house to raise money and had fallen into tens of billions in debt. Jang Dong-joo said he borrowed money by any means necessary to protect secrets such as private matters and his phone's contact list, and it ultimately became debt.
After the fact became known, a netizen commented to Jang Dong-joo, "Sex cam? Ugh, still you'd sell your house over that?" and Jang Dong-joo replied, "Among the materials on my phone, there are countless items that should not be opened to the public. For example, it could be a copy of a contract that is subject to a nondisclosure agreement."
He said, "But you seem to think the only thing on my phone that could be considered private is some low-quality sex cam video. Before you casually judge others according to your level, I hope you realize for yourself that your way of thinking is only that much."
Another comment read, "Private life. DMs with women, dirty talk, sexually explicit videos taken personally—there may be nothing but those things, but don't think about extreme actions over this. It's not a big deal," and Jang Dong-joo retorted, "The phrase 'there may be nothing but these things?' feels extremely ignorant and offensive. Have you ever looked through my phone? Does your phone contain only dirty talk and explicit videos?"
He also revealed messages exchanged with illegal lending companies and angrily said, "Illegal lending companies don't even show basic courtesy to debtors. They destroy a debtor's dignity, and insults toward debtors are standard. If you continue illegal collections using burner phones and phantom bank accounts, I will respond strongly as well."
Jang Dong-joo added, "They're not even a licensed lending company, and if they live their whole lives using burner phones and phantom bank accounts, they will receive divine punishment."
Meanwhile, last year Jang Dong-joo abruptly left an SNS post saying "I'm sorry" and went missing, but his agency located him four hours later. He has since confessed to recent hacking damage.
